How to File a Warranty Claim
Warranty claims are only valid for Buderus products which are installed in the original location and owned by the original purchaser.

What the Contractor needs to do. Do not remove any Buderus tank or boiler, without receiving an RMA approval from Buderus! Once contacted by the homeowner, the following information needs to be supplied to the distributor.
- Name and address of the homeowner.
- Name and address of the company that originally installed the boiler and/or tank
- Model and serial number of the product or part
- Installation date
- Description of the claim, including specifics on the nature of the problem with the product

The distributor will then contact Buderus with this information to determine what further action is to be taken.

What the Distributor needs to do:
- After receiving the following information please submit the online form to Buderus along with the distributor contact information including email address and fax number:
- a.Name and address of the homeowner
- b.Name and address of the company that originally installed the boiler
- c.Model and serial number of the product or part
- d.Installation date.
- e.Specifics on the nature of the problem with the product
- Based on the claim, Buderus will determine if a factory representative will need to visit the site to evaluate the claim or the Warranty department will acknowledge the claim.
- Once Buderus has received all the above information and the claim is acknowledged, an RMA (Returned Materials Authorization) will be send to the distributor. A decision will be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- The Buderus product can then be returned to Buderus (ask about shipping instructions) with a copy of the RMA form.
- If the product cannot be shipped, pictures will be accepted, as long as they clearly show the extent of the problem. The warranty department will then evaluate the pictures. DO NOT destroy/remove the product until Buderus has acknowledged that the photos are acceptable.
- After inspecting the product or pictures, Buderus will determine if a credit is to be issued. All credits are issued to the distributor who is then responsible for handling the claim with the contractor/homeowner.
- Any claim that is not accepted as a warranty credit will be held for 30 days before being disposed. The item can be picked up anytime during those 30 days. Please call with 24 hours notice, so that the product will be available for pickup.
- Freight charges are NOT covered by warranty and will not be credited.
- Restock Charge:
- a. Restock charge for new unused product is 25%. Radiator restock charge is 40%.
- b.Special order radiators cannot be returned.

Burners:
IMPORTANT: Buderus can ONLY accept a burner return is if there is also written approval from the burner manufacture.

Customer Options when returning burner parts:
Replacement sent at no charge – if it’s a stocked Buderus part.
If replacement is not acceptable, they will receive a reduced credit
The customer can contact the vendor directly (Riello, Carlin, Beckett) for replacement or credit.
